New Layout

Larry has changed the template. Larry was given the power. What good is power left unused?

Change is the only sure thing. So Larry changed the template. The layout has changed. The landscape altered.

Is the change satisfactory? Does it meet with your approval? Only time and the comments section will tell. Many other changes may be changed. The change may even be changed back. No problem.

Larry likes the change. Why? Because the new layout is very clean. It's called Minima Stretch. And it is. Minimalist. But sophisticated. For sophisticated literary types. Dove Talers.

The look of the template is not the only change. The template is in fact the "new" Blogger-style template. Which is already not new, but about 2 years old. Users will notice some differences. Maybe. You still sign in and post the same way. However, when you are signed in to the blog, you will notice new little graphics on the blog. Like the wrench and socket wrench. Click on these and you will find yourself on the editing page. You need not concern yourself with these. Unless you feel like editing something. There will also be a link on the top right of the page that says "Customize". Click on this and you will find a feast of options and things you can add to the blog.

Change it. If you don't like it, change it back. Delete. Repeat. Edit. Alter. Customize. Preview. Experiment.

Or just write a post. That would make the Secret Bloginettes sing joyous hymns to the God of Bloggery.

Larry has finished now. Go forth, ye Bloggeroonies, and multiply.

Hey Larry, I put a giant poster of Netty and I in the header, but it didn't suit the new minimalist look... so I took it out....

Lolol.... should that be Netty and me??????

"Consider the lilies of the field," sez Larry, "how they grow: they neither toil nor spin..." or the Dove-Taled birds of the air, they neither sow nor reap, yet they soar across syllabic planes of ether...guano has fertilizing properties...this Larry learned from Ian Fleming.

A nice graphic for the header would indeed be nice.

Larry sez he subscribed also to the comments feed so now he can see when comments are posted. He also likes the addition on the comments page which allows follow-up comments to be emailed, which Blogger didn't use to have. That is a nice addition.

Overall, things are nice.

Does SOL mean So Out of Luck?

My head is spinning. Could you start classes, and let me begin in grade one to gradually get familiar with all those millions of possibilities? Mmmmm. chances are that in my slow motion learning, by the time I catch on, things have changed again. Well, I guess, I just have to plow through in my own snaily way, forever in grade one.

Can giant posters not be shrunk? Not that I want my face in the header, but just wondering about the technique. Maybe you were just kidding.

I did indeed a giant photo of you and me across the header - to amuse myself - and you and Larry - and to see if anybody else would notice. But is was SOOOO big we blotted out the print. I probably could have figured out how to make it small but I was too lazy to pursue it, or rather had other things to do.... and hell,I'd just have to remove it anyway....

Larry finds this story of the giant header interesting. His new header on Mental Blog isn't as big as he'd like it. He wants it just a bit bigger, eh? But no matter how big he makes his original picture, it seems to come out the same size in the header...

Maybe it needs the magic water from Alice in Wonderland's bottles?
"Know how to shrink them, know how to enlarge them...? One way or the other it seems to be a gamble.
